Carousel 3
Modern Photo Showcase with an Old-Fashioned Spirit Carousel No. 3 Comes to St. Petersburg December 11

In the spirit of the old-fashioned slideshow, Carousel brings eight (mostly) bay area photographers together to share their work in a night of presentations on Wednesday, December 11 at 6:30 p.m. at Green Bench Brewing Co. in St. Petersburg.

The third in an ongoing curated series held occasionally in Tampa and St. Pete, Carousel features selected artists each presenting a 3-to-5 minute photography slideshow accompanied by narrative, music or performance. Photographers showcase images in a wide range of styles before a live audience, promoting discussion and strengthening the local arts community. Each slideshow is followed by a Q&A.

Join our special guest, photographer and explorer Carlton Ward Jr, as he presents stories and photographs from the Florida Wildlife Corridor Expedition. In early 2012, he and a small team led a 100 day, 1000 mile trek, traveling by kayak, mountain bike, horses and by foot from Everglades National Park to Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge in Southern Georgia. Their journey discovered that we still have a chance for a viable natural corridor through the Florida peninsula.

Additional Carousel No. 3 presenters include Chip Litherland, Matt Larson, Rebecca Sexton Larson, Steven Gregory and more to be announced.

Join us December 11 for an eye-opening cultural evening. The event is free and will be held outside in the beer garden for guests age 21 and up.

Green Bench Brewing Co. is St. Petersburg’s first craft microbrewery. They have a 15 barrel brewhouse that sits within a 6,000 sq. ft. warehouse building on Baum Ave in St. Petersburg’s downtown Edge District.
